We are very excited to return and try more menu items. Service here is exemplary and the decor and ambiance match the quality of the food and waitstaff. These desserts were top notch, great for sharing and presentation was everything. The chocolate cake is also a must dessert. The finale was the dessert - a coconut cream pie - it was light, refreshing and a coconut lover's dream. The asparagus was a hit for those who do not even like it and the Yukon Gold Gratin was delicious yet very rich. We ordered filet mignon and ribeye and they were cooked to perfection and halibut which was beautifully prepared and the texture was just as it should be.

We also ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and they were very tasty in a delicious sauce. The flavors from roasting the seafood in the hearth was like nothing we had ever tasted and was truly an explosion of flavor. This is the place for celebrations in Chicago! You must order the Roasted Seafood Tower which allows you the option to pick and choose - we got the scallops, crab and shrimp. I'll definitely be back as the seafood tower and desserts looked incredible. The maple & ash wedge salad was also delicious with a slight twist on your traditional wedge.

As for the sides-I wasn't too impressed with the mac n' cheese, but the winner of sides was by far the baked & loaded, Oh.My.God!!!! I'd be perfectly happy just having a big vat of that as my main entree if I could.

I got the filet mignon which was cooked a perfect medium rare and what you expect with a filet-melt in your mouth. The welcome drink was a nice surprise (and very tasty).

For dinner upstairs, the decorating is very elegant and has an intimate feel with the dim lighting and each table outfitted with ornate candelabras. I appreciated that you didn't have to wait around forever for a drink, although they could have been a bit more generous on the pour. As such, I met them at the bar for a drink. Now onto the important things-I held up my group by getting there a bit later (all must be there to be seated). Given the neighborhood it's in I should have anticipated it would be a more "uppity" crowd, but no complaints in looking around as it was a good lookin' bunch.
